If you want a meter installed or have an issue we need to look into, you can usually book an appointment in direct with your energy supplier who have access to our systems. Alternatively, we will be notified of your request and contact you directly to agree a date we can attend.
If you want a smart meter, you’ll need to get in touch with your energy provider. They will contact us with the information we need to arrange your installation.

What you need to know about an appointment with AES
Book In
Pre appointment
Before your appointment day we will send out polite reminders that we will be attending. Should there be any changes in this period, we have a customer self services platform to make changes as needed. You can also contact our dedicated metering call centre any time.
Installation
Installing a smart meter takes around an hour. Your engineer will need to access your current
electricity and gas meters. Once it’s up and running, your engineer will show you how to use your
new smart meter and answer your questions.

Our main warehouse is located in Dartford and we have supporting satellite warehouses throughout the UK. All of our metering related assets are managed internally round the clock by our amazing warehouse team. We have full stock control and visibility for both forward and reverse logistics using our bespoke stock management system. We pride ourselves on offering this unique approach to asset management and as a result have built strong relationships with our clients and their chosen meter asset providers.
